      Black Pepper Steak with Madagascan Peppercorns

      This dish is all about depth and heat. Using freshly crushed Madagascan peppercorns creates a bold, aromatic crust that transforms a simple steak into something exceptional.

      Ingredients:

      • 2 steaks (sirloin or ribeye)
      • 1 tbsp whole black peppercorns (crushed)
      • Salt
      • 1 tbsp butter
      • 1 garlic clove (crushed)

      Method:

      1. Crush peppercorns roughly (not too fine).
      2. Press onto both sides of the steak with salt.
      3. Heat a pan until very hot.
      4. Cook steak to your preference.
      5. Add butter and garlic, baste for 1–2 minutes.
      6. Rest before serving.

      Why it works:
      Freshly crushed peppercorns release oils instantly — far more flavourful than pre-ground pepper.
